Neon-tubed violin from Gold Diggers of 1933, a musical choreographed by Busby Berkeley. In the “Shadow Waltz” number, dancers in billowing white dresses play violins and when the lights are switched off, their neon-tubed violins glow in the dark; the dancers then form one giant violin. V&A.
